A colorful example of FORESHADOWING -
The cult will come between these two for the rest of their days.
this photo is doing the rounds on jw inspirational on instagram.
although the brothers and sisters think this is "oh so amazing" and "so cool" it's actually very sad and quite shocking.
what, people cant even enjoy their wedding day without the cult invading their special day.

...it looks like a generic, easy to sell barn hall.. https://youtu.be/eqwrfhbbqwy.
nothing like the old hall it's built next to.. the small room in the video is the indoctrination education center.. the building is completed one year ahead of schedule.
my guess: it's either much simpler than they originally planned, and/or they had more volunteers because nothing else is being built.. video is dutch, but nothing interesting is said anyway..
Exactly like our neighbors new dairy operation - herd 'em in , milk 'em and turn 'em out to pasture, hose it down and you're done - next...
i have been df'd for 9yrs as of july 31 (yay me!).
so as i have written about previously in other posts, my whole family (parents + sister) made the choice to treat me as if i do not exist, and i have accepted it.
last summer they made a blatant show of it as our family reunion, in that they would walk right by me and not say one word...prompting our extended family to question their actions.
Can someone post the title of the video (or part of the program) the OP refers to?
hi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.
Hello Raven-
You cease to belong to a religion on any day you chose to be gone. No need to inform anyone, give any reason or answer any questions - period.
Religion and belief are voluntary situations of individuals not required or controlled by law. Freedom of Religion is a legal right of every person and gives the individual the right to abandon any belief at any time for any reason.
Anyone who exerts their now unwelcome 'ecclesiastic authority' after you have chosen to be free of it, is violating your right to be free of that religion as the Norman Hancock case showed.
Prove you have truly abandoned the religion by emailing a trusted (non-JW) friend with the news and keep that email as a legally dated proof of your freewill action of having already abandoned a belief or organization you no longer support.
NEVER RETURN, or share, or allow yourself to be counselled or interrogated as you did when you previously accepted the ecclesiastic authority of the groups elders. The longer you remain away the stronger is your claim of Freedom of Religion.
Your right under law to be free of a religion is exactly as valid as is the right of that religion to exist. Freedom works both ways - that's why Jws never discuss human rights such as freedom of religion.
i've only noticed one when we're on hwy 79, north of our camden, ar, usa.
it is the relatively new kh in fordyce, ar, on that main highway.
is this the rule rather than the exception?.
The whole JW Org thing is likely a way to streamline the flow of cash and property bought by JW donations and immediately and permanently owned and managed by Watchtower.
These are two completely separate entities - The Jw's give and never get, the Watchtower gets and never gives.
The scant few who actually are the Watchtower have a financial worth of billions,
The millions who comprise the JWs have a financial worth of zero.
The stupid signs are to make the JW drones imagine they are part of a huge and important organization.Which they are - the Org. is a single global parasite and the Jws are just the renewable and disposable host.

Raven -
please Google 'Shepherding the flock of god book" the JW's 'Elders Only' super secret, confidential, clandestine cult manual is all over the internet (and many thanks to those who put it there!)
On page 73 is where your situation is discussed - item 40, last bullet point reads
" is the person willing to meet with a committee, thus admitting accountability to the christian congregation?"
You have already left - do not ever again meet with these assholes as they will interpret your attendance
as your legal admission of their "ecclesiastic authority" over you, and you nor your lawyer will have grounds for your claim of freedom of religion - (which is the real legal issue they violate by harassing you)
You have a guaranteed right to be free of any religion you wish - the right is granted to the individual citizen, not the religious corporation.
Norman Hancock won a case against the Mormons on grounds similar to yours.
well it's been 18 months since i left the witnesses.
my goodness what can i say?
well let's start from the beginning.... 1) i am happy, yes i am (i know im not meant to be as the jw's would like to believe).
BB-
I always find it so very satisfying to learn of other souls freed to savor their own wonderful life- not the stifling confines the watchtower guards - best to you all!
i'm researching a piece on the witnesses, as an ex born in witness now writer, and would really appreciate any thoughts.. as most of you all know the witnesses rely heavily on article 20 of the above act - everyone has the right to peaceful assembly and association.
but they also contravene several other articles of the act with their policy of disfellowshipping, causing mental distress to people who leave, they split up the family - a protected unit- and don't allow members to vote or to partake in national service, things protected by the act.
here's the link to the act, read it though and see if you can spot things witnesses aren't allowed to do that every human should be allowed to do freely - .
Gonzo-
A willing member of a church that practices shunning is not a human rights victim if he/she becomes shunned for the reasons and in the manner prescribed by their chosen religion.
Acknowledged membership and affinity with any religious lunatics gives said lunatics tacit consent to exercise their ecclesiastic authority over you in complete accord with whatever idiocy you yourself accept and espouse as a member of that group.
"Quitting Quietly" is an approach that I have promoted here for some time for the following reasons:
No one can be denied their right to leave any religion, for any reason and at any time they chose. You are not required to write a letter, to explain your reasons nor to consent to further internal scrutiny or counsel from the group or its representatives.
Send a dated letter to a lawyer or other trusted outsider, stating that you have terminated (past tense) your faith and belief in the group and its religious activities. NEVER allow the elders to convene any type of meeting with you for any reason - the Shepherd the Flock book states that to meet with elders is "... to thus acknowledge the congregations authority over the person."
You are now free, and any further actions taken will be a violation of your right to religious freedom - a right you have already expressed by leaving.
The surest way to show you value your rights and freedoms is to exercise them.
Research the case of ex-Mormon Norman Hancock to see how effective this is.
yesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.
on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.
there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.
Thank you Cofty.
Thank you Blondie.
this is good news.
the wt have lost in their attempt to stop the uk charity commission's inquiry into their affairs.
however, the wt is still digging in their heels about turning documents over to the charity commission.https://www.gov.uk/government/news/court-of-appeal-gives-judgment-in-court-case-by-jehovahs-witness-charityjudgment handed down by court of appeal in legal challenge to charity commission inquiry opened in 2014.today, the court of appeal handed down its judgment regarding the commission’s statutory inquiry, opened in 2014, into the watch tower bible and tract society of britain (the leading jehovah’s witness charity in the uk).
